What We Do
Morales Ventures is a hands-on operating partner for pet food and treat brands. Founded by Javier Morales, a pet food operations leader with more than 17 years of experience and over 100 facility visits behind him, we help brands solve the hard operational work between a growth plan and a reliable finished product.
We focus on four core areas. Co-Manufacturing Strategy and Scale-Up: we find, vet, test, and onboard the right manufacturing partner, from capability review through line trials and transition planning. Strategic Sourcing and Cost Optimization: we benchmark suppliers, model landed cost, and build sourcing strategies that typically uncover 5-12% COGS reduction opportunities. Fractional COO and Operational Leadership: we add senior operating capacity on demand, building SOPs, KPIs, and purchasing and inventory discipline without the cost of a full-time hire. Raw Material Supply and Protein Brokerage: we source conventional and specialty proteins through a vetted network of processors and farms, with contracted supply and cold-chain logistics support.
We work with emerging brands, brands scaling up, companies changing manufacturers, and brands launching new products. Every engagement is led personally by Javier.
